funny mornings

Don't ask how one arm got out of her jammies but this is how I found Emmalyn when I went in to get her this morning! She talks from the second she wakes up and begins to climb everywhere. She has recently learned to pull and stand on her own. Some mornings we will turn on the monitor to see her flying in mid air from the top of the crib falling to her mattress! It's quit funny! She just laughs and laughs until we come in to get her! It sure does make waking up at 6 a.m. every morning a lot more fun!

Kiawah Island!

The Sharp family had a great time at the beach this year! Beautiful house, beautiful sunny days, beautiful beach and a beautiful little girl along with us! Emmalyn really enjoyed her first trip to the ocean! She was crawling like crazy everywhere and somehow only got one handful of sand in her mouth the entire week! She loved watching Sophie and Annie play and seeing everyone together. Time as usual always goes so fast on vacation but we made the most of the time we had! We made it into Charleston one day to eat and walk Market Street. The only disappointment for us all week was that the beloved Sugar Plantation candy shop was gone! I was sad that Em couldn't experience it. Despite a few nights of projectile vomiting Emmalyn slept very well in her pack and play. She took great naps and didn't fuss more than 20 minutes in the car on the way there and back! A wonderful trip for the memory books and a truly special one for us. Thanks Mom and Dad for a great time!!! I know lots of pics but they were all so special I had to share!

Emmalyn's first Ross County Fair!

Yesterday Me, Em, Mom and Stef all went to the Ross County Fair! Uncle Matt showed up too for a little while. I hadn't been there for about 3 years now. I have to confess it brought back many great memories! I don't know if it's because I had Em with me or just that good feeling of childhood but it was great! I am really hoping Emmalyn will one day want to take an animal to the fair. She wasn't too sure about the animals yet though. She did however like the rabbits, chickens, and horses! The goats were the least favorite I think with the hogs coming in a close second! It surprised me because we read about farm animals all the time and she loves them in books! I guess in person it's a little scary for the first time! Haha!! Before we headed out we stopped for a treat. Em and I shared an ice cream cone and Stef had a sugar waffle. Thanks to Mom and Aunt Stef for coming along! I am glad you got to share Em's first fair experience with me! Also, thank you Stef for bringing your camera!

Mulli's spot

This is Mulli's new spot when she is too tired to play or wants to come inside. These are actually Emmalyn's chairs! Good thing by the time Em can sit in them, Mulli will be too big!
