we have teeth!

Well, our little late bloomer has finally got her two bottom teeth! It only took 11 1/2 months but they are here! She cut the first about two weeks ago and the second popped out this week! She didn't seem to mind them too much and is actually (knocking on wood) sleeping better and longer than usual! It's so weird to see her with teeth now but it's sooo cute!!

Boo at the Zoo

Last night was our very first Boo at the Zoo. My friend from work, Bruna and her daughter, Sofia met us at the Columbus zoo for a screaming good time! Emmalyn did not dress up (I was afraid it was too chilly) but Sofia dressed as Draculora. Emmalyn of course loved her and had a great time! She smiled, laughed and literally screamed with excitement all night! We rode the choo choo train around North America where we saw Heather Day and her son! I think he was dressed as Cookie Monster. All the little costumes were so cute! There were trick or treat stations set up all around the zoo and Halloween decorations everywhere. Sofia loved Em just as much as Em loved her. Em gave her many kisses all night! We took Emmalyn on her first carousel ride. She actually held on like she was suppose to and had a blast! We were having so much fun we stayed past Emmalyn's bed time! She was so stimulated all night that she slept 12 hours! This trip to the zoo will be a new yearly tradition!

Thank you Sikoras!

Emmalyn received her first (early) birthday present last night! Emmalyn loves her new chair and also enjoys diving head first out of it!!! She wanted to say "thank you" to Aunt Heather, Uncle J, and cousins Annie and Millie for her gift! It's her new favorite thing!!!

11 months old!

Emmalyn is 11 months old today! She has grown 2 inches this month and is now starting to look more like a toddler! She is surprising us with her smarts every single day! Her vocabulary is expanding. She can say Mama and Dada when she wants one or both of us to pay attention. She says ball, Dora, go, dog, and imitates about any sound Nate or I make. She is making more faces (not just the scary face anymore!) She knows what her tongue, nose, belly and hands are. She is signing for fan, wreath(she thinks it's a fan), milk, hi, bye, bath, yes, no and we are working hard on thank you right now. She loves, loves, loves her books! If you are wondering where Emmalyn is, chances are she is in her room flipping through a book. She particularly likes her Trick or Treat Dora book. It has a cat on a couple of pages that she likes to find and point to so I will "meow" for her! She smiles every time! She is eating more table foods, still with no teeth! That toothless ornery grin just melts my heart! She has not refused anything we have let her try as far as food goes. She loves drinking her juice out of a straw and is still taking 3-4 bottles a day. Sleeping longer lately, 8:30 at night to 7:30 in the morning. She still loves to be outside despite the cooler weather. She gives Sam (our cat) "big kisses" and loves to watch both Mulli and Sam. She is still refusing naps most days and actually tends to still be somewhat pleasant. I figure she has too much fun awake that she doesn't' want to miss anything while she is napping! She is exploring all over the place but knows already what she not suppose to get in to! That is our little peanut in a nutshell right now! Only 1 short month to go before the big day! I simply can not believe it!!!
