Officially homeowners!

Most of you already know but on April 29, 2009 Nathan and I officially became home/property owners! We are so excited, and overwhelmed with the task that is before us. Nathans grandpa Harold passed away in March and left his home willed to Nates mom and Aunt. They were very generous in selling this house to us. Nate was more excited than I was at first (the eternal optimist that he is) but, I have come around since the demolition has begun! It seems to be so much work to do and so little time (moving in at the end of June with everything finished). Nate assures me everyday that "it will get done". I didn't believe him 3 weeks ago but today I do. My husband is a machine when it comes to destroying a house!!! Give him a sledge hammer and he goes crazy! We feel everyday that goes by we don't get much accomplished. However, the pictures you are about to see have been taken over the last 3 weeks of our progress. After seeing the changes in pictures we are starting to feel good about our (mostly Nates) hard work! Enjoy.

SPECIAL DELIVERY- November 10, 2009

Most of you who read this blog already know that our little baby Sharp is on it's way!!! After a few months of disappointing pregnancy tests, we finally got a positive one! We are both "over the moon" excited and can't wait to meet him or her already! We went for our first ultrasound last week, the picture is a little blurred but you can still make out our little 9 week old peanut! The baby is doing great and all tests came back perfect! We were a little reluctant to blog so soon about our news but after seeing the babies heartbeat we couldn't help but share! He or she has a strong heart rate of 173 beats per minute, leading both Grandmas to believe it's going to be a girl! Nate and I think that it is just a strong boy! We will have to see... we are not finding out the sex until it's birthday. Sorry to all you impatient readers out there! We have what seems like forever until we meet our baby, but we have a huge project to keep us busy through the summer! Stay tuned for some more exciting news on our next blog!

our family table revitalized!

Mom and Dad gave us our old family table when we got married. Reluctant to take it at first, we decided with a little tlc it may be a great table. Well, that was almost a year ago now, and we have finally got at least the table part redone! It took us a few days between the sanding, staining, and finishing but we got it finished! The chairs as you can see still need some work or maybe a trip to the dumpster, but for now they'll have to do. I know this blog is not very exciting but for us, well, we have a brand new table! p.s. Nathan did most of the work :)

Under the medic and screaming

Last work day for Nate was a last one for a few weeks. At 1 a.m I got a call from Nate that he was on his way to the emergency room. I was kinda out of it at 1 a.m. and wasn't thinking that his trip to the emergency room was that big of a deal (considering he makes that trip about 10 times or more a day when he is at work). I soon began to realize he was telling me HE was going to the e.r. He had been on a run to go pick up a fat lady that fell and couldn't get up.... literally, and he ended up falling himself! He stepped out of the back of the medic on the mounds of snow and ice we have been getting and twisted his ankle. He said he was only laying under the truck for a minute before getting up. I asked if he cried, he said no but he did say a few choice words! Haha. He is off work for about 2 weeks with a huge "thankle" (much worse than a "cankle" he says.. it goes from thigh to ankle). He has been trying to stay off his feet as much as possible, after all we are going to New Mex to see Heather, Jeremy, and Annie on Thursday!!! He thinks I'm pushing him in a wheelchair when we get there... I'll leave that to Jeremy!
